Semi-truck hit car

Our client's husband was driving his SUV in New Mexico late one night heading home from a visit with their children. He decided to stop on the highway to see if he had forgotten his briefcase. While doing so, he slipped on gravel and hit his head. His wife, our client, realizing that something was amiss, went to the back of the truck to see what was wrong with him. Meanwhile, a semi tractor-trailer came over the hill and slammed into the truck and into our client. She was catapulted into the air. To make matters worse, a pickup then slammed into the vehicles. Amazingly she survived the crash. Unfortunately, she suffered extraordinary damages that will be with her for the rest of her life. The insurance company initially claimed that there was only $100,000.00 in insurance. After we were retained, we were able to discover that there was actually $1,100,000.00 of insurance available. Our client settled the case for a confidential amount.
