Our client was a very nice elderly gentleman who had a number of medical problems including being virtually blind and unable to walk on his own. An employee of the nursing home was attempting to help him move onto a wheelchair so he could go to eat supper. Despite the fact that she was not very large, she decided to try to move him without any help since the nursing home was short-staffed. In the process of moving him, his foot got caught in the bed railing. Not realizing this, she pulled harder breaking our client's leg. Because of his osteoporosis, his leg never healed appropriately. The case settled for a confidential amount.
